Crumlin Road Presbyterian
Crumlin Road Presbyterian was founded in the 19th century by Deane Knox Mitchell in 1869. It held services in the early days in the Dinning Room of the near by Linnen Mill. The first building was opened in 1872 and destroyed by the second world war bombers of Hitler in 1941. This congregation has also known hardship and sorrow with all the socio economic problems of an inner city congregation.
Today the present congregation is trying to be both relevant and true to the calling of being an evangelical people situated in an area which was once at the very epi-centre of the troubles of North Belfast. For the next year we are taking a long close look at ourselves and the community in which we live and minister to see how we can best minister with the gospel of Christ in ways which will touch the people.
We are seeking to "make disciples and build the church"
